Nesting Sea Turtles

• Although we can’t guarantee that while you are there you will see the turtles laying eggs or the babies hatching, we can tell you that our beach has been identified as one of the top 3 nesting beaches in the country and we are targeting a program to nest 30,000 eggs per year!
  As of 2010, Casa Tortuga's owners are working with the El Salvadoran government to help preserve the fragile Sea Turtle population. More details can be found at www.VivaTortuga.org.

Meal Preparation

• Ana Rosa is one of the on-site care takers. She will prepare meals upon request. Some of her specialties include cevichi, fish, shrimp, lobster and chicken served along with rice, beans and fresh tortillas. Ana gets the ingredients directly from the local fisherman and farmers which keeps the meal costs very reasonable, for much less than you would pay in a local restaurant and quite possibly less than you would pay preparing these meals yourself.
